Introduction
The Gen 3 Camera Shutter Speed Tester is designed to measure more than basic shutter timing. In Single mode, it quickly checks the actual shutter speed at the center position and compares the measured result with the nearest standard shutter setting. This makes it useful for inspecting vintage cameras, evaluating used equipment, and performing preliminary repair checks.
Three mode measures the shutter at the left, center, and right sensor positions. In addition to displaying the measured exposure times, it analyzes the R-M and M-L curtain travel sections, helping users evaluate whether the shutter curtains move evenly across the frame. Noticeable differences may indicate uneven exposure, especially at faster shutter speeds.
The built-in display shows results directly without requiring a computer. Four-button controls provide access to Single measurement, Three-point measurement, session history, shutter-step settings, calibration options, and Wi-Fi firmware updates. Designed for film camera enthusiasts, repair technicians, collectors, and used-camera inspection.
Measurement results depend on correct camera positioning, a clear optical path, clean sensor windows, and stable test conditions.
